1. Scope
This policy applies to paid raffle entries purchased through https://raffles.gtcomrades.com.au. MaaMadurai complimentary promotional entries are addressed separately below.
2. Ticket price and payment fees
Public raffle entries are AUD $5 each. The advertised price is the amount payable by the participant for the entry. Unless the checkout clearly states otherwise before payment, the Club does not add a separate customer processing surcharge.
3. Change of mind
A valid raffle purchase is generally final once payment has been successfully processed and the corresponding ticket number has been validly allocated. The Club does not ordinarily provide a refund because a participant changes their mind, decides not to participate, purchases more entries than intended where the transaction was correctly processed, or does not win.
4. Duplicate or incorrect charges
If a participant is charged twice or charged an incorrect amount because of a technical or processing error, the Club will investigate promptly and provide the appropriate remedy, which may include refunding the duplicate or incorrect amount.
5. Payment successful but ticket not supplied
If payment succeeds but the system cannot validly supply the corresponding ticket entitlement, including because inventory has been exhausted, the Club will investigate and either complete a lawful allocation where technically possible or provide an appropriate refund/remedy. The Club will not knowingly retain payment for an entry it cannot validly provide.
6. Failed, abandoned or expired checkout
A declined, cancelled, abandoned or incomplete checkout does not create a valid entry. A temporary reservation may expire automatically if payment is not completed. An attempted checkout during an outage does not create an entry unless the Club’s records establish that payment was actually received and the entitlement can lawfully be recognised.
7. Cancellation or material failure
If the raffle is permanently cancelled before the draw, the Club will provide paid entrants with the refund or other treatment required by applicable law and will communicate the process through reasonable channels.
8. Payment reversals and chargebacks
Participants who believe they have been incorrectly charged should contact secretary.gtccc@gmail.com before initiating a chargeback where practical. If a payment is lawfully reversed before the draw, the related paid entry may cease to be eligible. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in cancellation of affected entries where lawful.
A payment dispute raised after the draw will be investigated on its facts. It does not automatically undo a completed draw or create a right to retain both a prize and a reversed payment.
9. MaaMadurai promotional entries
A MaaMadurai promotional entry is complimentary to the customer and has no cash value. Refunds for restaurant goods/services are governed by MaaMadurai’s own rights and obligations.
If the qualifying restaurant transaction is cancelled, reversed or refunded before the promotional entry is validly claimed, the promotional entitlement may be cancelled. Once an entry has been validly claimed, the Club will not invalidate it solely because of a later restaurant refund unless fraud, collusion or deliberate abuse is established or applicable law requires otherwise.
10. Consumer and statutory rights
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any right, remedy, statutory guarantee or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
11. Requesting assistance
Email secretary.gtccc@gmail.com with the purchaser’s name, email address used for the transaction, mobile number, approximate transaction time, amount charged and any order/ticket reference available. Do not send complete card numbers, card security codes, passwords or identity documents by ordinary email.
